Mission Statement:  Our mission is to provide a safe, caring, Christian environment for these young adults in which to grow spiritually and equip them with the knowledge and skills to go out and reflect God's light in this world.

 

Meeting Times: 

Sunday mornings: 9:15 a.m.-10:15 a.m. 3rd floor classroom - We meet for dynamic discussions and debate various issues that may be currently in the headlines or may be a hot topic within the Methodist Church.  Come join us for coffee and give your opinions and thoughts on life.

  

Other services: 

Exam Care Packages:  We send care packages to all of our college students during exam time in the fall and the spring.  We provide them with lots of goodies to munch on, quirky toys to play with, extra hi-lighters, notepads, and pens.  We enclose our devotional book "The Upper Room" and of course, notes of encouragement.  Please make sure your name gets on the list!

 

Email Updates:  We send emails to our college students throughout the year to update them on mission trips and various other events going on in the church.  If you would like to receive these emails,

 

Upper Room Devotionals - We mail the "Upper Room" Devotional book to the college students every two months.  A note of support and encouragement is enclosed as well.

 

SMCC Wesley Foundation:  We provide a meal once a month for the weekly Wesley Foundation gathering at Southwest MS. Community College.  A delicious home-cooked meal is always a comforting gift while away at college.  We also provide goodies for their care packages that they send to all of their Wesley students.

 

Mission Trips: 

Our college group is invited to all youth mission trips that we take.  They act as chaperones and small group leaders.
